Scott Mattlin Obituary

LANCASTER - Scott "BoDean" Mattlin died unexpectedly Saturday, April 18th, 2009, at the age of 53.
Scott's parents are Jack and Judy Mattlin of Lancaster; he has three sisters, Dennice of Lancaster, Holly (Mark) Todd of Dresden, and Amanda of Sugar Grove; his two brothers are Eric of Chicago, and Jack Jr. (Carnell) of Lancaster; his stepdaughter is Deanna Runyon.
Scott was a graduate of Bloom Carroll High School, class of 1974, and spent most of his life in and around Lancaster, working in the construction business. His favorite things were his Great Dane dogs, Frank (deceased), Ichabod, Grace and his Motorcycle. Scott had a basic philosophy for life and that was, to live for today with no regrets or apologies. It was with this; live for the moment attitude, that he gathered hundreds of friends from all walks of life.
The family will have a party on Saturday, April 25th from Noon to 6:00 p.m. with a brief service at 3:00 p.m. The celebration will be held at his parents home located at 739 Lincoln Ave., Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family would like to encourage all that are available to attend the party and share stories about Scott and his life. Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME.
Electronic condolences may be sent to: bodeanmattlin @sbcglobal.net
Life's purpose is not to arrive at the grave with a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways yelling "man, what a ride" Scott you had a good ride and you will be missed.
