Thomas Decker Obituary
LANCASTER: Thomas E. "Doc" Decker, 77, of Lancaster passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on May 3, 1938 in Rockbridge, OH to the late Thomas A. and Esther Pearl (Roop) Decker. Doc served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a carpenter, retired from Anchor Hocking, and after retirement he worked for Lancaster Hardware and Tiberio's. Doc was a member of the VFW and the AMVETS. He enjoyed being on his computer, bowling and playing pool.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Patricia L (Siegle) Decker; children, Sherrie (Don) Woltz, Jean (Dan) Stoneburner, Tina (Dave) Yeager, Tommy Decker, Scott (Fiancé Michele) Decker; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Don Springer; sisters, Sandy Paskins, Ruth Hizey, Joyce Webb, Janet Marks; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Scrappy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Decker; and best friend, Snoopy.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30AM Friday February 19, 2016 at the Sheridan Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Maple officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be on Thursday February 18 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home.
