Alma Marie Hill

Alma Marie Hill 1925- Alma Marie (Conners) Hill passed away peacefully in Franklin, Tn, on 10/10/2023. She was 98 years old.



Alma was born in Albany, Wyoming in 1925, where she spent her childhood attending a one room school. She graduated from Laramie High School and attended the University of Wyoming. She married Melvin Hill and together they had 7 children in Laramie.



Upon the death of her husband (1974), Alma spent many years working as a school custodian (in Green River Wyo. and then Longmont, Colo). As a custodian she was well loved by the teachers and the many children who affectionately called her Grandma. At 73, she retired and moved to California to be closer to family. With each move, Alma became an active member of her church and community.

Her children were blesssed to loved and cared for by a strong, determined and spirited woman. She loved her family with great passion--her 12 grandchildren and 12 great grand children were her pride.

Alma was preceded n death by her husband, Melvin Hill and daughter Linda Hill. She is survived by her Children: Ruth Dunstan of Cadott, Wisconsin, Carolyn Shook of Franklin, Tn., Sandi Cleaver of Mukilteo, Wa., Kevin Hill of Wheatland, Wyoming, Denise Kimes of Coatesville PA, and John Hill of Vacaville, Ca..

Family and Friends will gather for a celebration of life on July 14, 2024,at Alma's birthplace in Albany Wyoming.
