Peggy Hoogerhuis Obituary
She was born to Rudolpho Trujillo and Juanita Trujillo on March 27, 1942, in Las Vegas. Peggy loved cheering for her Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos, playing cards and scrabble, and watching her novelas.
She was one of the Robertson Cardinals' biggest supporters, and was especially committed to filming all of her grandkids' games, or recording them on the radio if she couldn't be present.
She loved to garden and take pictures of loved ones, and enjoyed her poodles and long rides out of town to visit relatives. Peggy very much loved to dance, and one of her favorite places to be was on the dance floor dressed in her new outfit and matching high heels.
Peggy's vibrant personality will be missed by the many she met and interacted with.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolpho and Juanita Trujillo; brother Albert Trujillo; sister Emma Christainson and niece Bonnie Trujillo.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Hoogerhuis, of Las Vegas; sons: Theodore Trujillo (Debbie) of Oklahoma and Ron Hoogerhuis of Las Vegas; daughter Diane Vigil of Rio Rancho; grandchildren Sarita Trujillo, Teddy Joe Trujillo, Taylor Trujillo, Tiara, Carl Vigil (Tasha), Curtis Vigil (Patricia) Kimberly Vigil (Chandy), Desiree, Sharon, Kristin and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Olivia, Theodore, Evan, Jade, Ajay, Javen Evan, Marvin, Ronnie, Naveah, Benjamin and Kendrick; sister Anita Ortega (Tony) of Las Vegas; sister-in-law Kathy Trujillo of Colorado and numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A rosary devotional service will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at 9 a.m., with both services to be held at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery with casket bearers Carl Vigil, Curtis Vigil, Teddy Joe Trujillo, Jonathan Ortega, Benjamin Lujan and Andrew Gallegos.
