Preston Garza Obituary
He was born in Las Vegas on Sept. 12, 1970 to Robert Garza and Mary Ann Vigil Garza.
Preston was an award- winning musician and entertainer. He started playing at age 9 and continued throughout his life. He enjoyed singing and played with several different bands throughout his years of entertaining.
Preston was a "jack of all trades" that enjoyed spending time in the mountains and making others happy. Preston was loved by all his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Garza; brother: Paul Garza; paternal grandparents: Geronimo and Josie Garza; great-grandmother: Serafica Martinez and other relatives.
Preston is survived by his beloved mother: MaryAnn Garza; sons: Austin Garza (Adrianna Martinez), Justin Garza and their mother, Donna Lucero; granddaughter: Azianna Garza; sister-in-law: Annette Garza (Danny Martinez); nephew: James Garza (Ramona Sanchez); niece: Angelique Garza; nephews: Roberto Pablo, Benito and Santiago; maternal grandmother: Tillie Jordan; special friend: Yvonne Castellano; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Victory Life Church in Las Vegas. Interment will follow at the Garza Family Cemetery in Tecolote with the following serving as casket bearers: James Garza, Jerry Garza, Michael Nicholls, Greg Hebel, Manuel Archuleta Jr. and Erik Knezevich.

I went to grade school with Preston at our Lady of Sorrows in Las Vegas. He was such a kind person as a child and I remember when he started his singing career. I haven't spoken to him since the early 80's but he was the kind of person that you never forget. My condolences to his family, especially Jerome. May you find peace.
