Tasha Monique Fitts (Garcia), 40, of Lubbock, Tex. passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020. She was born on October 6, 1980 to Louis Garcia and Ramona Spence (McBride) in Las Vegas, N.M.
Tasha is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Fitts; father Louis Pete Garcia; step-mother Mabel Garcia; mother Ramona Spence (McBride); step-father John Spence; grandfather Luis S. Garcia; aunt Lisa Apodaca; uncle David Garcia; sons Jaden Garcia and Davyn Tienda; sisters Crystal Garcia, Tracey Beitler, Louise Garcia, Sheena Suazo, Melissa Spense and Jonna Mayer; and nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Faith Fitts; grandfather John Edgar McBride Jr.; grandfather Pete Garcia; grandmother Helen Garcia; grandmother Virginia Clarice Garcia (McLellan); aunt Darla Jackson (McBride).
Tasha lived in Lubbock, Tex. where she graduated from Monterey High School in 1999. She then went on to graduate from Cosmetology school and began her career as a Nail Technician. She had also recently started a thriving business centered around fashion.
Tasha had a huge heart and enjoyed her career because she had a talent for making others feel beautiful.
She had strong faith in the love of God and was a dedicated member of The Worship Center and spent many of her hours volunteering and helping others in need. It was at church that she met her husband, Douglas Fitts, and they married on Sept. 15, 2017. Throughout her life she impacted many lives.
She will be remembered most for her beautiful smile, and her ability to light up the room. She will be missed by many.
Services will take place at the Sanders Memorial Chapel located at 1420 Main Street in Lubbock Texas. A viewing will be held on Dec. 30, 2020 at 6 p.m., and a celebration of life will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020. This service will be webcasted on the Sanders Funeral Home website.
