Loyal daughter; loving sister; good friend; Hana Maui lover; Boxer Rescue supporter; Auntie Ali to many; & proud godmother to Ashley Guzman passed away at the age of 53. Her laugh, wit, love of life & genuine goodness will be deeply missed. But she will never be forgotten by the many who love her.

Unbelievable!!!!! I, too, was in that same ringalevio schoolyard game in StCyrils circa 1969!!!. Alex tripped over Dave Moylan and her left leg snapped. And Fred has a great memory, as it was in fact Dick Shonebaum who was the hero.May Alex RIP!

Its been a full year since Alex has passed. We'd like to thank Paul and his twin brother Dick for allowing us to grieve through this LA TIMES Guestbook. I will never forget the time in 4th grade Alex broke her leg playing ringalevio @schoolyard and Dick Schoenbaum carried Alex to Encino hospital. A 10 yr old hero. Brother Paul stayed@hospital for many hours. This was the Cyril way. God bless Alex Vallier, Dr Dick Schoenbaum, and Detective Paul.

I also saw the fabulous performances of Rob Halford and Frank Sullivan in rememberance of Alex. As we come up on the 1st anniversary of Ms Vallier's passing, let us pray that people in distress should try to realize there is help available. Everyone is loved. Rob Halford was truly inspiring. Bruce Watson canceled so Frank Sullivan handled guitar. Their rend ition of "Oh Alex" was a real tear jerker. Frank read a poem about Alex's incredible life. Dick Shonebaum gave a tremendous message. God bless Alex and thanks to all.

I am doing everything in my power to be down in Los Angeles for the September 15th Mass and get together thereafter.

Officiating the service will be Fr Hank Dietz III.Alex's favorite choir, the St Mark Saviors of LaSalle will be performing the Most High Mass celebration. Reminded me of the time Alex and I took s quick dip in Libbys famous piano swimming pool. Libby's security detail busted us but after they caught a glimpse of Bikini Alex, it was way cool. Word up! I just learned of Alex's passing in the Louisville Royale and was so so sorry to hear about it. Alex swept me up and befriended me at Louisville - she was a bright light and made all feel completely special who got be around her. I am so happy to have so many laughing memories with her- she really had such an infectious laugh. I wish peace to all of her family and community. So young to go from this place. I wish her profound peace.

In honor of Alexandra here is a statuette update: Mr Wolfgang Dixon. who had a hand in the recent Abdul-Jabbar erection at Staples Center, reports the Alex statuette is coming along right on schedule. The unveiling will be tentatively scheduled for May 26th at Midnight Mission. This news has hurt us all. Alex was an outstanding lady who donated countless hours to help others. Her regular monthly checks fed hundreds of poor folks. Her sponsorship of many kept them sober.Alex will be greatly missed but never forgotten. A service will be held to honor Ms. Vallier will be held Tuesday Nov.29th at 10am. It was such a special day for me when you wrote last summer. How I loved your Mom. Thinking of you brngs back memories of the surprise b-day party you and Cleo planned with us, your Mom's bridge playing friends- balloons, See's and a delicious lunch. The cat rescue from the HUGE tree where the cat had been chased and was left crying for a couple of days till you brought your extention ladder- ran up and climbed higher with bacon lured the poor thing down. You departed as quickly as you had arrived. You left many happy memories on Valley Vista.

Alex, Ive been trying to find you all summer as we head up our 40th Saint Cyrils Reunion. I never heard back from anyone! What did you go and leave us for???
