Anthony Hillbruner Obituary
Emeriti Professor of Rhetoric and American Studies at California State University, Los Angeles passed away after a short illness on December 15, 2004. Dr. Hillbruner taught for 35 years and was one of the founding professors at the present location of CSULA. He was respected by both his colleagues and students. An eminent scholar, he published numerous articles on rhetoric and was well known for his critiques of presidential inaugural addresses for the Los Angeles Times. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Laura, he is survived by his son Tony and daughter Tina, three grandsons Zachary, Joshua and Noah and one granddaughter Brooke.
