Audrey Koz Obituary

KOZ, Audrey Doreen
Beloved wife of Melvin Pearlman, mother of Jeff Koz, Roberta Wilson and Dave Koz, bubbie to Taylor, Jenna, Jordan and Isabella, passed away Friday Nov. 4. Respected pharmacist for over 40 years, she was a trendsetter in the successful balance of work and family. To know her was to love her and she touched the lives of all in a profound way. Larger than life, with boundless energy and zest, she truly made a difference in this world. While taken from us too early, her spark will live on in all who knew her. Memorial sevice Monday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. Groman Eden, Mission Hills CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation or Special Olympics.

Dave, Mel, Roberta, Jeff and grandchildren,

My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you. I had the pleasure of knowing Audrey and speaking with her many times. She was a wonderful woman with many great qualities and she passed those great qualities on to Dave. She also made the best cookies and shared them with many. She will be truly missed by all of us. May all the family have peace in their heats when remembering all the wonderful memories they have of Audery.

Dear Jeff, Roberta and Dave,

I'm a friend of your old neighbor (a long long time ago) in Tarzana, Leslie Claff from the UK.

I happened to stumble across this very sad news.

Your mother and late father made me so welcome in your home so many years ago. I am so sorry for your loss.

Her hospitality back in Summer 1979, I think, was so appreciated.

With every best wish

Dear Mel, Dave, Jeff and Roberta,

When we heard of the death of our beloved Audrey, Ron, Josh and I felt like we were hit below the belt. It just couldn't be!

Our hearts are broken for all of you.

She was a unique, beautiful woman inside and out, who lit up the room wherever she was. We'll never forget her chocolate chip cookies and knishes. THE BEST! We loved her as so many hundreds have. She will live in our hearts forever.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

We wish you peace and solace at this very, very sad time.

Love,

Barbara, Ron and Josh

They say behind every great man, there's a great lady. Dave and his mom were no exception. For those of us who were fortunate to meet her, we shared in here warmth and general excitement for living. Her humor was as infectous as her cookie recipe was good. She was a proud mother, and it showed. It always amazed her to meet fans from far away places, and see what an impression her son had on them. She was particularly impressed to meet my nine year old daughter one summer and discover how she had traveled cross country to see Dave two nights for her birthday. Momma Koz told her son about the young girl, and made her a part of the show both nights. That's just how she was.

She will be missed by a lot of people, and the world was a better place to have her in it. We thank you Audrey for the gifts you left behind.

Prayers, hope a peace to the Koz family.....
