I am 63, started reading about Belinda's dad and have spent much of the day reading whatever I can about Belinda...link after link. A heart-wrenching yet uplifting story about a beautiful soul. Sharon - if you read this, you raised a unique and special woman who had an impact on everyone she met. I am far away from it all in Virginia. Belinda lives on in all the words and music she shared with the world and in the words about her - in the ether - that will never go away. Thank you for sharing. Bill

Dearest Belinda,

We knew each other for a short time back in Miami, Fl. We lived close to each other and had some good times together. I remember the many days we would sit together at the bus stop on LeJeune and talk about music and acting and life in general. You couldn't have known that you would be an inspiration that I carried with me to this day. What a remarkable coincidence that the girl I would marry was also someone you knew. We would share memories of you with each other. You may be gone, but you are certainly not forgotten.

Forever Friends.

Fondest memories at college, us good friends, nights at the coffee shop, playing and writing music together, you and me sitting out on the quad together...playing and singing to me.
I really miss you Belinda, miss your voice, your music, your caring nature, your advice, your smile. and I know the world misses you too. You were such a bright star...that God placed you in the heavens, so you could forever shine on us.
I love you so much, Belinda. God Bless you, sweetie.

Belinda, its been more than three years, yet I and several others from the Camarilla group still think about you. I moved around my CDs the other day and came across your Ockham's Razor discs...I played them and thought of you and how sweet you were the last time we met up in LA. God Bless, Toniette Holden

Dearest Belinda,
Sometimes I have a memory of the way we played as children and I laugh and for a split second I forget you're gone and I wonder what or how youre doing- then the reality comes pummeling into me. It's just not fair darling... you had so much to do and give. We are all worse off without you... You taught me my speeches for my school talent show, you helped me with my music for my auditions and helped my ballet technique- now I'm an opera singer. When people ask how I got into opera I tell them how you and your mom had me cast as the little boy in Madam Butterfly... how the beautiful sounds transported me somewhere else as a little girl. I have so many beautiful memories of you- besides all the help you gave me artistically... You would babysit me and one time you brought over WHAM the video and we danced to it together lol and I thought you were the coolest person in the world. We used to swim in my pool all the time and you'd make up the most wonderful games that I play with my stepchildren now... you even taught me how to swim like a mermaid- you were magical to me. One day, I went across the road to see you and you were sitting in your front lawn holding a wild white dove. You told me to be very gentle and taught me how to pet it... then you threw up your hands and let it fly away. I remember the way you laughed as you watched it fly away... happy to see something so beautiful so free- I am also happy to think that someone as beautiful as you is now free, but I really do miss having you around.

Belinda…

Belinda…
A person who cared so much
A unique gift for anyone to receive

Belinda…
A person with unique talents
A contribution to the world

Belinda…
A person who had many friends
Too many friends to count

Belinda…
A person who made people laugh
Even at the worst of times

Belinda…
A person who lived life each day
As if there would be no tomorrow

Belinda…
Time came to pass…
With no more pain….
To take the soul to heaven…

I will miss her dearly

Thank you Phyllis for this tribute! I am overwhelmed with grief - I miss my baby girl so much! We will have the L.A. service tomorrow night. Then we will have the funeral in Brevard on Nov. 27 followed by brief graveside service. It is only with the support of friends and family that I am able to get through this. Again, thank you so much for your friendship.
