Blake and I went to school together, and were in almost all of the same classes, from preschool all the way through 12th grade and met up again a few times in New York as adults. In all of my memories, even when he was a tiny kid, Blake was incredibly smart and clever. He would watch programs in Spanish on tv and swear that he understood every word. Of course, he grew up and actually did learn to speak fluent Spanish! He was a gifted student and challenged our teachers and won their favor with his humor and intelligence every time. He had amazing silky hair. He let me jump on the trampoline at his house after school. He always spoke with love about his sister and parents. When we reunited in NYC, it felt like home being around him because he was so sincere and we have so many shared experiences of childhood. He gave thoughtful advice, was worldly and articulate, entrepreneurial, intuitive, funny, and warm. Much love to you, Blake.

Blake was a tremendously important friend to me when I moved to L.A. in 2000. He had impeccable wit, sharp intelligence, and keen fashion sense. I'll always cheerfully remember his buoyant office visits and unannounced drive-bys to my apartment. He helped me move into an apartment, threw me an fantastic birthday party, and kept me company when my partner worked long hours. He also was the last friend to visit me when I moved away.
We kept in contact over the years, often trading our latest book recommendations and travel stories. I intended to visit him this spring for my 30th birthday. I'm sad to lose that opportunity, and to lose one of my most cherished friends.
My deepest sympathies to his family and many friends.

Dear Dr. Williams and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Although I did not know him personally, I feel as though I have after all the years of hearing updates on your family when visiting your office. After reading the guest book, I am even sadder that I never had the honor of meeting Blake. He sounds like a person that could light up any room. I know he will be missed and never forgotten. I wish you strength in this difficult time.

To Blake’s family: I am so sorry for this overwhelming pain in your life. If we could shoulder your grief, even for one minute, we (all) would. Blake was such a lovely person. He had a wonderful sense of humor about everything and everyone, and he included himself in this light-heartedness. So much love, devotion and work went into his life; I am devastated for you and so sorry for your loss.

Dear Dr. Mow, Lyn, Krinki, Travis, and Quincy, Grandmother Mary and Curly Blair, Steve and Rachel Wms., Sam and family Wms., and Bill and Sue Krienke and their daughters' Kim and Laura and their families.
Brad and I want to extend or love and prayers to all of you. Blake I have known since he was 3 1/2 yrs. old as his dental assistant and always looked forward to his hug/kiss and visit. Our last heart to heart talk was at his Grandparents' Jean and Buster Wms.' funeral reception in Mt. Dora four summers ago. Once again he greeted me with a hug and kiss. Upon our opening chat, Blake then said, "Miss Deb, tell me about myself." My eyes rolled and I said, "Okay Blake, here goes the game show." His eyes were fixed on mine and after summing up on how I remembered his birthday each year, August 24th, I proceeded to tell him, I think of you and your sister Krinki (August 2) on your birthdays; think of what you have done over the years, where you are, the last time I saw you, and then say a prayer.” He was so excited knowing I still kept up with his on goings and literally was jumping up and down. We went on to share what we were doing and generally got caught up on our lives.
This year Blake---I didn't let you down and did the same as mentioned above with Brad while God washed the world clean for You this past Friday, August 24th, and we thought about your life, where you are, when we last spoke and said a prayer.---we miss you.
Love and sympathy to all,
Deb, Brad and our children Shawna, Jennifer and Zach Gerhardt

Dear Willams Family,
I want to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of Blake. Blake was someone to me who had a rare combination of light, charisma and warmth. He lit up a room by his presence, and was able to draw so many people closer together. No matter how much time passed I could talk to him about anything when I saw him, and have amazing memories spending time with Blake in Los Angeles and New York. He will be deeply missed.

I was trying to remember how long I've known Blake. I was shocked when I realized it was only a year and a half ago that we met - he so quickly became such an important person in my life, I felt that I'd known him forever. I'm terribly sorry for your loss, and for our loss. Blake will be missed forever.
My sincerest condolences,

To the Williams Family, and All Blake's Relatives and Friends:
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of Blake. I had met him briefly several times while I lived in L.A. and always regarded him as very nice guy. But the last time I saw him was a night in New York City about a year ago, and this was the first longer conversation I'd had with him. And what I saw then is how he was so much more than just nice. I recall being struck by how kind and genuine he was. It's truly a sign of an extraordinary person when for such a short moment they can leave such an excellent impression.

I cannot tell you how many times my wife Christina and I have bumped in Blake on the street in the East Village. For a time, we stopped being surprised and would carry on a conversation as if we expected to see him. He never skipped a beat and would do the same to us; thinking that is would be only natural that we would have an opportunity to catch up at some later date, on some block, at some time in the near future. I won't be surprised if I bump into him in Heaven someday, picking up where we left off.
We were fortunate enough to meet Blake in Los Angeles, and very happy to see him travel out to New York to follow his passions. He was a very kind person, who always gave time to his friends. I'd say that every time my wife and I came back from an event where Blake was there, we would remark to each other how much we really love him.
Our last vivid memory of Blake being Blake was during the Kentucky Derby this year. He was on a quest for mint, and was shocked to find out that all of the mint in NYC was sold out. He joked to me that he wanted to buy parsley instead because everyone at the party was too drunk to notice. I know that his southern manners were the only thing stopping him from following through with his plan. He was such a gentleman.
When I read that Brooke Astor inscribed on her headstone that she lived a beautiful life; I hope that Blake and Ms. Astor are comparing life notes and sharing a mint julep, made in the traditional way - with mint.

I met Blake in 2005... he sat behind me on a bus on the very first trip for Ski Bums, a group in which he'd go on to make many friends who were instantly struck by his incredible personality, pitch-perfect wit, and spot-on observations. Blake was just a great guy. I can speak for many and say that we're deeply saddened, and he will be tremendously missed. Our hearts go out to all who were lucky enough to know him.

My heart breaks for you. I know we should pass before our children, but God sometimes has a diffrent plan in life. This was just an accident not Gods doing. My prayer is that God will lift you and your families up high in his arms and help you through this hurtful time.
When I think of my Son, I think of this wonderful "Angel" that is constantly looking over me and his brother and sister. You now have a beautiful "Angel" watching over you. If you ever need to talk, I will be there.
