Bruce Green Memoriam
Bruce studied architecture at Cornell where he met his wife of 58 years, Betty Green. He has a masters in film production at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
His career as an episodic television director spanned over 30 years, and his credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Law and Order, Charmed, Gilmore Girls, Baywatch, Roswell, Dawson's Creek, Angel, Magnum PI, MacGyver, V, Knight Rider, Doogie Howser, Babylon 5, Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, and Xena Warrior Princess.
His First National Kid Disc was an early innovation in interactive media, and Green and his team were nominated for a Grammy for the project.
His family will dearly miss his caring heart, endless curiosity, creativity, ingenuity, helpful spirit, wit, wisdom, and sense of adventure.
He is survived by his wife Betty and their children Karey and David.

I'm deeply saddened to see of Bruce's passing. He had directed many TV movies and episodics on which I did sound back in the '80s. His dry wit and effortless mastery of his craft made him a crew favorite. I had just scanned the attached photo from 1987's In Self Defense (which we shot as Hollow Point) and was searching for a current address to share it. Count me among those who loved Bruce and admired his work.

Dear Betty,
Lynda and I are very sorry for your loss.
I will always owe a debt of gratitude to Bruce for hiring me as an editor, early in career.
I am sure this contributed to my successful career, and when I retired, I could finally say, I survived Hollywood. Thanks Bruce.
