Cody McDonald Obituary

McDONALD , Cody M.
Beloved husband, son, father, uncle and grandfather, passed away at home in Canyon Country March 16, 2007 after a brave battle with cancer.
"Commando" Cody was a friend to countless businesses in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County as a sales representative for Linco Caster, Inc. for over 30 years. In business and pleasure he was never without his harmonica, he taught a generation of youngsters about the blues in his daughter's classroom during the last two decades, as well as playing and recording with local bands. In recent years, he and guitarist Tom Lavin performed as Certified Blues, drawing admiring fans to the duo's shows across the Southland.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki, mother, Shirley Wallace, father, Richard McDonald, daughter, Krishawn Monahan, granddaughter, Keira, brothers, Craig and Cory, niece Megan and nephews, Derek and Lorenzo.
We will miss this wonderful man for all the kindness, laughter, music and joy he brought to our world. His harp is silent now and we feel the blues he so loved.
A memorial will be held for family and friends Sunday, April 1st, 12 p.m. at Knollwood Country Club, 12024 Balboa Blvd., Granada Hills, CA 91344.

Hey, What's my shirt say?!!!

I will miss Cody but I'll hear his harmonics forever! I know what to listen for when the time comes, trumpets with a harmonica jazzing it up in the back!!!

God's Speed and Strength to the family and friends, just keep those jokes floating for him!
