Daniel John Montecalvo

December 27, 1941 - September 25, 2013 Daniel died at Calif. Medical Facility, Vacaville, of sepsis. In 1990 he was convicted of slaying his wife, Carol (Magavero), 1945-88. He professed his innocence to the end. The case was covered on TV and in the L.A. Times, incl. Suzan Brown's January 1991 confession to law enforcement that "she and her friends were responsible for the death." Karen Kingsbury wrote up the case in "Final Vows" (Dell, 1992). Born in Chelsea, MA, to Nunzio Saverio Montecalvo and Mary (). Survived by daughters Tracey and Joette, and brother George.
