It has now been a year and the time has gone all too quickly without you being here. I constantly miss you as I knew that I would do so. However, I feel some degree of comfort knowing that you are still a part of my life even to this day. I am pleased and honored to remember you publicly today with the thought that you have not completely left me and that you never will. Thank you!

I'm so shocked to know Debbie passed. Debbie, thankyou so much for all the help and encouragement you gave me as a conductor. I met you in 1995 and we played in Mammoth and in Beverly Hills, and you were there for me when I went to UCLA and so on... Thanks for being such a wonderful person... I'll always remember you, your shining smile and great fiddle playing. Rest in peace dear friend.

Debbie will be missed by many. As former board members of the Beverly Hills Symphony, Debbie tirelessly lobbied the City of Beverly Hills and many prominent residents to keep classical music alive in Beverly Hills. The Beverly Hills Symphony, which Debbie served for many years as its president, brought culture and class to the citizens of Beverly Hills at its summer concerts at Greystone Mansion. These concerts introduced many young people to the classics, and are sorely missed by the Beverly Hills community. Sharon and I both offer our sincere condolences to Allen and to Debbie's family.

Debbie was my friend. We met by accident on a cruise to China almost twenty years ago. We then shared trips all over the world, meeting in airports, hotels, cruise ships, and riverboats. Our last trip was to France, where we spent four glorious days in Paris.

Debbie and I would tell everyone that we were sisters, separated at birth, one sent to New York and one to California. Through a miracle, we met and reunited on a cruise ship. People believed us. We were great pranksters wherever we went, creating havoc and doing practical jokes.

Al and my husband Don did not know what to make of us. Parted by 3,000 miles, we talked weekly, and often for hours. We loved being together.

Debbie was a big support to me when I was ill. Sometimes I needed a laugh and she was always ready with a joke.

Debbie was a talented musician, knowledgeable in conversation on all subjects. Fun to be with, she was great shopper who loved to bargain. She adored playing slots wherever we went.

She adored Al and her son and daughter, and even loved Laura's dog, who I heard about all the time.

You meet a friend like Debbie once in a lifetime. She was a gift to me. She battled her illness with her usual courage and bravado. It's hard to believe that she is gone. What memories we shared.

Al, Robert, Laura – Don joins me in sharing your grief and loss. We lost our beloved friend, but she will live on forever in our hearts.

My best memories of Debbie include her musical performances in the courtyard of the Greystone Mansion. These encounters invigorated and refreshed my spirit. Sharing time with Debbie was always most enlightening!
Sending my love and heartfelt condolences to Robert, Laura and Allen as you say farewell to a talented mother and spouse.
