Deborah Parker Obituary

Parker, Deborah Greaney (58)
Born March 23, 1945, Stamford, CT. Passed away June 17, 2003, Sherman Oaks, CA. A nurse by profession, Deborah was also active in numerous community based organizations. She served as Past President, Juniors of Social Service Auxiliary and helped establish the Family Theater Angelus Awards. She was a member of the Adoption Guild and the St. Joseph's Hospital Guild. She was active in Catholics in Media and was a supporter of the American Ireland Fund and the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Deborah's love for theater evolved into her producing over 35 years of theater productions for St. Francis DeSales School, Notre Dame High School and Immaculate Heart High School. Deborah attended Corvallis High School and graduated from Mt. St. Mary's College with a degree in Nursing. Survived by husband, Michael; children, Jeffrey (Lynn), Christina (Adam Shinnick), Alicia; grandchildren, Grace, Constance, Zachary and Taylor; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Edward Michael Greaney; and two brothers and seven sisters. Services at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, 13360 Valleyheart Dr. South, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. Rosary: Sunday, June 22, 2003, 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass: Monday, June 23, 2003, 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the families' favorite charity, "The St. Francis DeSales School Scholarship Fund", in memory of Deborah G. Parker.
