KOENIG, Della Beloved mother of Bernardo (Vivian), Miguel (Carmela), Enrique (Alexis) and Camila; loving grandmother of Erich, Kassy, Stephanie, Alessandro, Adela, Bernie and Kristel and sister of Albert and Arthur Naccarelli. Born in Italy, Della came to the United States and was educated in Philadelphia, New York and California where as a youth she was in the entertainment industry. In 1953 she moved to Mexico City where with her late husband Erich Koenig she raised their children. A great philanthropist and patron of the arts she pursued many fund raising activities for the Blind Children and the Hebrew University among a few in Mexico. After the death of her husband, she returned to Beverly Hills. As a Benefactor of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the Music Center, a Patron of LACMA and one of the original Trustees of the High School of the Arts, she worked tirelessly so that talented young people would have a chance to pursue their dreams in the fields of music, theatre, and art. Conversant in four languages, she had a monumental strength of character and served on the Boards of the Sister Cities program, the Henry Mancini Foundation, and the Society of Singers among just a few of the many philanthropic organizations she befriended. Her many pursuits included the producing of the Broadway Show "A Woman of Independent Means." She always found time for a kiss and hug for her grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8th, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 555 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles.
