Dennis MORGAN Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we share that Dennis Campbell Morgan passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 at the age of 86.
Denny was born on November 5, 1938, in Cumberland, BC, to Campbell and Mary Morgan (née Jackson). He grew up in Cumberland before later moving to Victoria. In his younger years, he worked in the automotive industry, where he developed a passion for restoring and servicing cars. He spent many hours at Western Speedway, both as a spectator and a racer, and in his spare time fully restored his beloved 1968 Ford Thunderbird.
After leaving the auto industry, Denny went on to work as a rigger at Yarrows Drydock and later as a crane operator at the DND Drydock & Pumphouse in Esquimalt. Following his retirement as a chargehand in 1993, he enjoyed traveling to Mexico, attending countless baseball games, and watching car races. A highlight of his travels was cruising through the Panama Canal.
Denny is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Antonia; children, David Morgan (Julie) and Anita Stephen; grandchildren, Jesica Morgan, Valerie Stephen (Chris), Andrew Willems, and Julia Stephen (Oliver); and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Nathan, Zackary and Danica. He is also survived by his siblings, John "Jack" Morgan (Hazel), Janice Neale (predeceased by her husband Don in 2014), and Joanne Schiebel (Fred).
He was predeceased by his parents, Campbell Morgan and Mary McNeil; step-parents, Hugh McNeil and Thelma Morgan (née Bennie); brother, Jim Morgan; and his daughter, Debra Morgan.
A special thank you goes to Dr. Andy Ignaszewski at St. Paul's Hospital for his many years of care, along with the wonderful staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
At Denny's request, no formal service will be held.
