August 3, 1954 - June 6, 2015 Derrick Guy Eng, age 60 passed away on June 6, 2015 in Montebello, CA. He was born on August 3, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA to parents Clifford Eng and Reiko Eng. Derrick grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Belmont High School in Los Angeles, CA in 1972. Derrick was gifted with the ability to create anything and work with his hands. Combining his mechanical aptitude and his love of being unique, one would often find him in his garage working on his cars, boats, or motorcycles. Bowling, fishing, playing the saxophone and spending time with family are pastimes that Derrick also enjoyed. He opened, owned and operated Master Rooter and Plumbing Service where he worked as a plumber for over 30 years. Derrick enjoyed and shared his life with Karen Hanemoto in Montebello, CA for the past 12 years. They enjoyed riding his motorcycles in their free time. Derrick is survived by his father Clifford Eng, sister Alene Lee and her family, sister April Eng, children Tina Loo and her family and Kenny Eng. Derrick had 2 grandchildren - Bryant and Alexis Loo. Derrick was a generous man who always put his family's needs above his own. Derrick will be missed as a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
