Eileen Zigman Obituary

April 14, 1939 - August 22, 2024 Eileen (Carlin) Zigman was born on April 14th, 1939, to Rose and Richard Carlin in Brooklyn, New York. She and her family moved from New York to Los Angeles when Eileen was eight, but she was always proud of her New York city roots.

After graduating North Hollywood High School in 1956, Eileen became a dental assistant, although she dreamed of being a Broadway star. When Eileen was twenty-one, she was set up on blind date with Robert Zigman. After dating for five years, Eileen married the love of her life, and together they had three children, Charles, Alyse, and Felicia. Eileen dedicated her life to her family, as a great wife and mom. This devotion continued to be her priority for her entire life. Eileen's favorite role came in 2015, when her grandson Noah was born, and she became his "Gigi." She thought Noah set the moon.

Eileen had this superpower of making everyone that met her fall in love with her. Restaurant servers, personal trainers, physical therapists, hairdressers, nail technicians, you name it -- all became her friends. She was an absolute joy to be around.

Eileen passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA, at the age of eighty-five, after a long battle with Cancer. Eileen will be remembered for her huge heart, sense of humor, and dedication to her family (including adored nieces and nephews), friends, and most of all, her husband Robert of 59 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's memory can be made to The City of Hope or another cancer charity of your choice.

I had worked for Mr. Zigman for many years. And had the opportunity to meet Eileen on many occasions. She was the most gracious and kind person you could ever want to meet. She will be greatly missed.
