Emily Royall Williams Draper

May 23, 1952 - November 4, 2021 Emily attended the prestigious Kent School in Connecticut and then received her B.A. from Boston University. She forged lifelong friendships at both institutions, which established a pattern-once you were friends with Emily, it was a forever bond. Her charm and charisma landed her on the pages of Look magazine as a model. After becoming a certified teacher of Transcendental Meditation, Emily moved to Los Angeles, where ultimately, she attained her dream of working in television and film as a costume designer (I.A.T.S.E. 892). Emily started her career at General Hospital before becoming the series costume designer for primetime shows, including Grace Under Fire. In film, she designed the wardrobe for Robert Mitchum, Rock Hudson, and Ray Liotta. Emily was also a passionate advocate for many progressive causes. A loving mother, Emily was devoted to her children, Austin Williams Draper and Olivia Anne Draper. Pre-deceased by her father, Clarence E. Williams, and husband, Wm. F (Willy) Draper, Emily leaves behind her mother, Ann Austin Williams, and brothers Nedland P. Williams, Charles P. Williams, Thomas M. Williams, Peter S. Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Emily would wish donations for No Kid Hungry (www.nokidhungry.org), a charity she fund raised for every year on her birthday.
