I met Fahren in 2018 at my exhibition, Red Hot Wicked at Studio C Gallery, in DTLA. The gallery was located in my studio space at the Santa Fe Art Colony. Fahren had submitted her work for the exhibition. The exhibition btw was made up of all women artists. Fahren's work stood out in the jurying process. When she delivered her work to the gallery, we had a moment to chat outside her car. Her little dog was with her and she wanted to let her out for a few minutes. We walked around the courtyard and talked. I think we instantly became friends that day. I distinctly remember that day. I heard from her or she contacted me from time to time. She even spoke to me on the phone with questions about oil painting after I moved from L.A. to NM. I was shocked to hear the news of her passing. Gone way too soon. I see her work on Instagram all the time. It alarms me because I wonder if the gallery is taking good care of her work. But when you are friends, you do that. Protective. I will always miss Fahren. She was an interesting, lovely person and a consummate artist.

It is April 27th, 2024. Last night, I just found out that Fahren Feingold passed away last Semester. Fahren showed her artwork at Studio C Gallery ( a gallery that I founded in 2011 ) The show (s) was the RED HOT WICKED; An Exhibition of Women Artists I & II (2017 & 2018 ). Fahren was invited to show her work in both shows. This is how we came to know each other. The last time we saw each other was outside Studio C, in the early spring at the Santa Fe Art Colony where the gallery was located, Studio C was also my residence and studio. We were having a lively conversation while her small beloved dog sat in the car waiting impatiently. Fahren´s work was exquisite not just by how well executed it was in human anatomy, her dexterity in watercolor but the power and beauty it brought to the viewer. Her work became a focal point of the show. Her work so delicately expressed the sensuality and humor of the feminine soul. I am devastated by the need of her untimely passing because I believe that Fahren Feingold had much more to say in her work. Her life ended way too soon. What a bright light she was. I half expected I would see her again. I congratulated her not long ago on her Wet Dreams exhibition in NY. Rest in peace dear Fahren. It was such a pleasure to know you. Peggy Nichols
