Franklin Murphy Obituary

June 10, 1950 - September 25, 2015 Dr. Franklin Lee Murphy, son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Franklin David Murphy passed away unexpectedly in his home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Franklin attended the Harvard School in Los Angeles graduating in 1968. He then graduated from UCLA and obtained a medical degree from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He conducted his residency, internship and fellowship at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and held a Diplomat Certification of Nuclear Cardiology. He practiced medicine in Los Angeles and Palm Desert, California and Las Cruces, New Mexico for 38 years. Franklin was a great man who was loved by so many for his exuberant personality. He is survived by his two children Franklin Douglas Murphy, Andrew Jones Murphy and the mother of his children Wendy Jones Murphy. He is also survived by his wife Anne Culver Murphy and her children David, Stephanie and Kevin Culver. Also by his sister and brother in law Carolyn and Ross Speer and many nieces and nephews as well. We will all miss him tremendously. May he rest in peace.

May you rest in peace Dr. Murphy. You were one of my favorite doctors to work for at Mountain View in Las Cruces. I will miss seeing you around. I truly enjoyed working for you and I hope for the family to have strength to get through this difficult time.

Beautifully written. Franklin was full of life and energy. Franklin and Andrew and Wendy, I know you are devastated and I am here for you anytime you need me. Your dad will never be forgotten.
