August 21, 1975 - September 22, 2021 On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Gaby Ader, beloved spouse, daughter, sister, friend, aunt and art teacher succumbed to bone cancer at the age of 46.Gaby was born on August 21, 1975 in Panorama City, CA. to Jennie (Sieradski) and Steven Ader. She graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1993 and received her teaching credential from Humboldt State University. She taught special education at the high school level in Mar Vista for 5 years before opening her own business in Fullerton teaching children's ceramics. On July 20, 2013, she married Kirk R. Pickler in Palomar Mountain, CA. Gaby loved teaching, cooking, art, music, traveling, dancing, and her cat, Sunshine. She was particularly fond of redwood trees, wildflowers and swimming in lakes and rivers. Gaby was a much beloved teacher who brought joy to many children with her patience, creativity, and imagination. Her own struggles with learning disabilities combined with her background in special education made her a superb art teacher who could connect to any student regardless of their skill level or learning ability. Gaby had a great love for life. She settled for nothing less than exactly what she wanted. She was known for her smile, her honesty, her agency, and her authenticity, as well as her great taste in music and her love of rainbows. Gaby is survived by her husband Kirk, her mother Jennie, her father Stephen, Her sisters Ariahn and Alexandra, and her nephew Colin, as well as her in-laws, cousins, and many devoted and loving friends. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9th, 2021 at Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim, CA at 2:30 pm.
