Henry Porras Obituary
Mr. Porras is survived by his wife Betty Porras, Dacula; daughter and son in-law, Aida and Tom Carney, Virginia; daughters, JoAnne Thayer, Buford, Nancy Hardcastle, Texas; grandchildren, Morgan and Ria Hardcastle. Mr. Porras was born in Los Angles, CA and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past three years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, served as Lt. Governor of the Kiwanis Club in California, was a Dr. of Chiropractics, and a member of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, Dacula. Henry You just had another birthday and it will be 2 yrs on January 17th since you went to a better place where you had no more pain. Henry, I will never forgot you and your family and your influence on my life. I'm certain that you accomplished all that you desired when you relocated closer to your daughters a few years ago. Henry, you came into our lives 18 years ago and we have loved you and Betty ever since. You are not just friends you are family. Henry (Doc) you have touched our lives in a very special way and you will be missed more then anyone can imagine.

Henry was not just a friend...he was my favorite among friends. He taught me that a brother is not necessarily a friend, but that a friend is always a brother. Gaby and my two sons loved Henry. We are all stricken by our sudden loss and still find it difficult to believe that the Lord has taken him. Our love to Betty and the girls.
