Herbert Schneider Obituary

March 6, 1934 - February 19, 2021 Herb Schneider passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 19, 2021.Herb fled his birthplace of Vienna after the Nazi occupation, and spent two years in Havana, Cuba before arriving in New York in 1943. After graduating dental school and marrying Diane Hyman, the love of his life, they moved to Los Angeles, where Herb served in the peacetime Navy before starting his dental practice.Herb is survived by sons David and Ken, daughters-in law Christina Schneider and Marcia Jarmel, grandchildren Mica and Jaden Jarmel-Schneider, sister-in-law Barbara Hopfinger, and niece and nephew Jana and Jack Hopfinger.Donations in Herb's memory can be made to LA Family Housing: (818) 770-8367 or email [email protected].

I just learned that your dad passed away in Feb and wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. In addition to being my partner at OHS for 11 years, he was also a good friend, and enjoyed the times when we'd get together for lunch. He was a good man and will be missed by all who knew him.
