Hugh Grinstead Obituary

October 12, 1924 - June 1, 2018 Hugh was born in Sonoma, California, where he grew up with his older brother Robert and his younger sister Jean. His father, Allen Ray Grinstead, was a judge in Sonoma and his mother, Emilie Poppe Grinstead, was a voice teacher. Hugh was a singer, who performed with the Los Angeles Master Chorale for 35 years. He served in WWII in the Navy, as a navigator. After the war, Hugh graduated from UC Berkeley and met Bonnie Mary Neeley, who preceded him in death, after their 65-year matrimony. He leaves behind 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is deeply admired, sorely missed and deeply loved.

(Psalm 46:9) He is bringing an end to wars
throughout the earth... Those resurrected will
never again experience the pangs of war.
Loving hope for millions who have died.
