Jack Ferraro Obituary

August 6, 1944 - November 5, 2018 Jack Anthony Ferraro of Long Beach, CA, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at home on November 5, 2018. Jack was born to Anthony Ferraro and Anna Pocino Ferraro on August 6, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA, and leaves behind his children Tony Ferraro, Lisa Mosa and her husband Tim, Michelle Day and her husband Brian, and Dean Ferraro and his wife Elayne. Jack was the proud grandfather to his six grandchildren: Sarah, Matthew, Zachary, Isabella, Haley and Joshua, and had a large extended family including his sister Geraldine Moreno. Jack served in the US Navy until 1968 and started his own business in 1972. Between the meat business and the packaging business, Jack loved calling on all his clients. He was a social, jolly soul who always made people laugh. Jack loved socializing with everyone. Whether it was playing golf, drinking red wine or smoking cigars, he brought joy and laughter to all those who surrounded him. Jack was an amazing cook. He was always in the kitchen whipping up something delicious. Jack was famous for his corned beef and cabbage, Jack's famous pasta sauce, his wonderful wine cakes, and most of all, his Thanksgiving stuffing. Jack adored his family and friends. He was the life of the party and he will be greatly missed.

Family, as you treasure the wealth of memories shared with Jack, be assured that the God of Comfort has him tucked away in his memory as well and, know that with prayer and supplication he will bring you peace.

Jack was a darling and a very old friend. I had the privilege of going all through grammar and high school with Jack. One of his customers was Fisher's Market in Alhambra back in the day which continued our relationship beyond high school. Jack always asked about our children and shared stories about his own. He was a dear, dear man and I'm sure will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Jack!
