James Hill Obituary

Hill, James Arthur (age 71) A resident of Laguna Woods, passed away Sunday morning.
He is survived by two sons, Jerald J. (Gayle) Hill, Laguna Niguel, and Michael D. Hill, Orange; two daughters, Linda (Michael) Coats, Laguna Niguel, and Patricia Hill, Montebello; brother, David Hill, Brunswick, Maine; four grandchildren, Megan, Travis, Christopher and Matthew and one great-grandson, August. Mr. Hill was a Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 30 years, with his own mortuary. The Du Bois Funeral Home in San Gabriel was previously associated with the Lee R. Hill Mortuary in Temple City, and the Cunningham and O'Connor Mortuary in Los Angeles and Alhambra. He helped Joe O'Connor open his mortuary in Laguna Hills. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Navy with distinction as a Lieutenant Junior Grade. Jim's whole life was dedicated to his wonderful family and to his fellow man. Mankind was his business. He also volunteered his time to help AIDS victims. Memorial services 11 AM, Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Lesneski Colonial Chapel, with Dr. William D. Davenport, Pastor, LifeWay Church San Juan, officiating. Interment will follow at Diamond Head in Hawaii. Those who wish may make contributions to the AIDS Services Foundation, 17982 Sky Park Circle, Suite J, Irvine, California 92614-6408.
