Jay Raskin

Our beloved Jay- father, grandfather and friend - passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 24. He was 93 and had a life filled with love and achievements. He is survived by his children Laurie (Rick Shuman), Victoria (Thomas Barefoot) and Gary (Mary Devlin) and his grandchildren: Alec Shuman; Julia and Leah Gobin and Drew Raskin. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania and a veteran of WW2, Jay had many successful careers in his business ventures, was proud of his extended family and grandchildren, and was always optimistic about the good in people and in the future. He was independent to the last day. When we would see him, we would always ask "How's your day Jay?" His reply with a big smile was always, "Everyday I wake up is a good day." Tuesday, March 24 was a good day too and he passed quietly that night. He was a class act and we will miss him.
