Jeanne Jenkins Obituary

June 14, 1931 - September 14, 2022 Jeanne Farman Hall, born Auburn, WA, June14, 1931, passed away September 14, 2022, age 91. She attended University High School in Eugene, OR. Her long-time interest in design led her to study Architecture, and graduated from the University of Oregon with a Master's in Interior Architecture. The first women to do so.
Immediately upon graduation, she accepted a position as design head for a Beverly Hills firm. She soon opened her own firm and obtained wide recognition both in industrial and home design, specializing in interior architecture. She remained active in the field until very recently. She was renowned for innovative architectural and design features.
She was an active member of Chi Omega sorority, the Annandale Golf Club, serving as Chair of the women's group, and numerous bridge clubs. She had a passion for golf and foreign travel, particularly to Italy.
Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Robert Jenkins, her daughters, Joan Olson (husband Eric), Karen Johnson (husband Rick), her sons,
Mark Jenkins (wife Pat), Eric Jenkins, ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Two children, Wendy and Brett, predeceased her.
Jeanne's Celebration of Life will be held at Annandale Golf Club in Pasadena on Sunday, October 23rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the U of O Jeanne Hall Jenkins Scholarship Fund, 1720 E Suite 410, Eugene, OR 97403.
