Jerrold Hal Steiner M.D.
Jerrold Steiner Obituary
In 1966 he began his medical career in Southern California; first at LA County Hospital, followed by UCLA and the Wadsworth VA Hospital. He served in the United States Army. Major Steiner and his young family were stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas from 1971-1973.
He married the love his life, Jane (Powell) in 1964 and had three children; Josh (Whitney), Jon (Thu) and Jordana (Jared). He is grandfather to 7 (Nate, Max, Carson, Louis, Alexa, Jorja and Jesse) and great-grandfather to one (Caroline).
Jerry was a dedicated surgeon, adored by his patients and colleagues. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and incredible friend. His patients will miss his heartfelt and gentle manner. While his loss is immeasurable, his family is comforted by the lasting memories of his incredible sense of humor, intelligence and generosity.

Dr. Steiner had been my physician for many years. His bedside manner was second to none and his diagnostic acumen could only be topped by his love and sense of humor.
Jerry will be missed by all who had the privelege of knowing him and may his memory forever be a blessing.

I have known Jerry for several years through the online surgical forum Surgient. I always enjoyed the emails, the case discussions, and even the political and social conversations. It is a great loss to those of us who knew him on the list. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Jerry´s family. Though many of us knew him only through Surgient, his kindness, insight, and wisdom left a lasting mark. May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in peace.
