Joel Chernoff Obituary

Chernoff, Joel Passed away July 19 at the age of 50 of heart disease. Joel had over 40 film and television credits as producer and production executive ("Above the Law", "Out for Justice", and "Presumed Innocent") and as director of action and aerial cinematography ("Ransom", "Under Siege", "Executive Action", and "Black Rain"), where he used his skill as an expert helicopter and airplane pilot. Joel was a horseman and rodeo calf roper - a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association - as well as an expert furniture maker. Joel is survived by his father Romo of Laguna Woods, his sisters Myrna Barth of Los Angeles and Karen Nastassja Burkholder of Moorpark, and brother Fred of Hamilton, New York.
