John Damon Obituary

June 24, 1942 - November 13, 2016 Film actor and producer John (Jack) Damon died Nov. 13 in Los Angeles. Born John Vincent DiBello in New Jersey on June 24, 1942, Damon started out as a fashion model, and as an actor in low-budget pictures such as "Beware the Black Widow." In 1969 Damon produced and starred in "Blue Sextet," a psychological thriller directed by longtime friend and collaborator David Durston. That film led to Damon co-starring in Durston's 1971 cult classic "I Drink Your Blood," the first movie to be rated X for violence by the MPAA. Damon later produced and co-starred in "Roller Blade Warriors," directed by Donald Jackson ("The Demon Lover"). He worked in the UCLA athletic department for many years, and continued to develop projects with Durston, who died in 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie Nancy DiBello.

We will miss John as we also miss David Durston. They both had such wonderful stories to share about Hollywood in the 60's. Peace be with you Jack. Your bud Tyde.
