Daddy´s favorite quote from Cathedral: "A winner never quits and a quitter never wins" was his mantra.

John was a good buddy in our high school years and was known as “being a good guy”. That phrase reflected an impressive moral fiber in his character trait that obviously served him well in his life and his distinguished Navy career. I am saddened by the lost of a friend and school mate, but the loss to his family and his sister Rose, is greater. I am sympathetic with your emotion. Our one consolation is that he is now in a better place, free from pain and disease and in God's grace.
I pray that your and your family's grief be comforted and you are given Christ's serenity.
