Joseph Goldfarb Obituary

Goldfarb, Joseph Jack Passed away peacefully on April 23, 2005 at Torrance Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
He grew up in Portsmouth, VA and attended Augusta Military Academy. After which, Joe joined the Air Force and became a gunner on a B-17 during WWII. After the war, he moved to Los Angeles, CA and went to college at Northrop Aeronautical Institute and graduated from Woodbury College with a Bachelors in Advertising. Joe and Fay met in 1950 and married the next year. They enjoyed traveling to many places around the world and being with their family. He retired from Volt Temporary Services and was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 623 and T.O.P.S. Joe greatlyenjoyed cooking, tending to his vegetable garden, reading, playing golf and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a kind, helpful and loving person survived by his wife, Fay; sister, Mildred; children, Tina and Doug Moses, Craig and Minda Goldfarb and grandchildren, Danielle, Michelle, Anise and Drew. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the Wellness Community and the City of Hope. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Hillside Memorial Park. Hillside Mortuary (800) 576-1994
