Joseph King Obituary
Joseph M. King passed away on January 26, 2001; from emphysema at St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank, CA. Joseph was 82 years old. Joseph was born on September 5, 1918 in New Jersey to parents William and Hulda King. He later moved to California. He founded J & M Anodizing, Inc. in Burbank, CA in 1956. Joseph enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time on his Arabian horse ranch, King's Arabians which he started with his wife, Irma King in 1977. Irma King passed away on March 12, 2005; from complications from pneumonia and emphysema. Irma was 80 years old. Irma was born on January 17, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Bennie Tribby and Leitha Harris. Irma was raised on a farm with her brother. At the age of 18, Irma moved to California. She later met Joseph King and they later married. Irma then joined Joseph King and they ran J & M Anodizing, Inc. together. She continued to work until the very end. Irma loved life and loved dancing (jitter-bugging), sewing, and her horses. In 1977, Irma and Joseph King started Kings Arabians horse ranch and they enjoyed showing horses and watching their daughters, Tammy King and Josette King show the horses. Joseph is survived by his son, Richard King; daughters, Patti Koyle, Tammy King, and Josette King; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irma is survived by her daughters, Tammy King, Josette King; three grandchildren and her two step-children, Richard King and Patti Koyle. A celebration of Joseph and Irma King's lives will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or an organization devoted in the fight against cancer of your choice.
