Julia Sill Obituary
A memorial service will be held at The Westridge School Auditorium, Saturday January 22nd at 1:00 PM - 324 Madeline Drive, Pasadena, CA 91105, 626-799-1153. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Julia R. Sill Memorial Scholarship at the The Westridge School for Girls. "Send me away with the words of a love song. Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my family They'll know I'm safe with you when they stand under my colors."
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Julia always brought laughter to her fourth class at Westridge. She had such a big heart and deeply cared about others. I still cherish a thank you card written by her. Julia will always hold a special place in my heart.

I can't believe that it has been 10 years since the world lost Julia. To the Sills, her legacy lives on at Westridge, Fairfield, Pasadena Little League and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. That kid! My favorite Julia memory is when she told me that she was going to be the Yankee's first female pitcher! That to me is Julia in a snapshot!

As Julia's Communication teacher last semester at Fairfield (she laughed when I told her I grew up in Arcadia just minutes away), I was deeply saddened by the news of her passing. With heartfelt blessings to the Sill Family, know that she was a standout spirit. Julia made me look forward to seeing her in class. I loved teaching her, learning from her spirit, and engaging her humor. We all appreciated her intelligence and facial animation! My class will never forget her opening speech which could have gotten her on Saturday Night Live. I do miss her. And, I'm blessed that relationships live on forever.

I remember Julia when she was in my lower school class, and chose to play bass just because. She was always fun in class, always tried her best, and full of insight. Julia always managed to make me laugh when I was around her. She was in my sister's class, so as I was five years younger than her, I looked up to her as the epitome of what Westridge School is all about. Julia, you will always hold a special place in my heart. You were so accepting of everyone and your infectious humor will be missed.

Julia was a bright light, and a wonderful human being. She brought so much joy to so many at Westridge and beyond, and was sheer amusement in a body. She was a wonderful young woman who now shines brightly among the stars. My thoughts are with her mom, dad, sister and brother, her whole extended family, and the oodles of friends that will miss her forever. Know she was loved, even now.
