Karen Irene Lichtman

LICHTMAN, Karen Irene (Jenkins) Of Tujunga, California passed away on September 30, 2007 at the age of 40 following a three-year battle with breast cancer. Karen is survived by her mother, Susan I. Jenkins, of Yorba Linda, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Gayle I. (Jenkins) Daley and Todd A. Daley; and nephews, Jeffrey, Mark and Tyler of Bradbury, CA. Karen is also survived by her grandparents, Kermit J. and Margaret L. Martz, of Lakewood, CA. Additionally, Karen is survived by the following aunts, uncles and cousins: Barbara and Kristina Scarpa, of Yorba Linda, Jonathan Scarpa, of Placentia, John, Kate and Chad Martz of Lakewood, and Rick and Mary Martz of Helendale, CA. Karen also leaves behind her father, Paul Jenkins, of Raton, New Mexico. Karen passed from this world in love with and loved by, Russ Jackson, of Tujunga. Karen is also survived by an extraordinary circle of friends whose love and support was boundless in scope and depth. A memorial service celebrating Karen's life will be held at Douglass & Zook Mortuary, 600 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, California 91016 (626) 358-3244 on Sunday, October 7th, at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Karen's name can be made to the Revlon Run/Walk for Women, Bib No. 18843, in which Karen had previously participated but was prevented by treatment from doing so in 2007. On June 17, 2007, Karen wrote, "You are stronger than you know and you too can find your way through this frightening journey, and perhaps lessons and silver linings along the way, just as I have."
