Keith Alan Fulbright

FULBRIGHT, Keith Alan On October 27, 2009 Keith Alan Fulbright passed away after a two month illness. He was born in Long Beach on June 12, 1956 to Russell Smith and Anna Lenore (Elverum) Fulbright. Keith, a veteran of the U.S. Army, was employed by the City of Los Angeles Dept. of Airports as a surveyor. He was a 25 year resident of California City. A compassionate and generous person, Keith was a loving family man and a much loved friend and neighbor. He sponsored and raised money in support of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life for the past nine years. An avid outdoorsman, Keith, with brothers Wade and Carl, successfully reached the top of Mt. Shasta on two occasions. He hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. Some of his happiest times were spent camping, hiking and cultivating his rose, flower and vegetable gardens. He was well known in California City for the Halloween and Christmas decoration and light displays he created at his home. He was the rock for our family, we will miss him so much.
He is survived by his fiancee Linda Bernard and their daughter Chamica and his aunt Dorothe Elverum. He is the beloved brother of Russell, Gerald, Wade and Carl Fulbright, Gleva Blakely, Gail Cathcart, Frederica and Joyce Dick, Earcelle Bailey and their spouses. Beloved cousin of Ray Miller, John, Ken, Rick and Judy Ligrani-Elverum, Toni, Jack, Dave, Kathalee and Jonette, Rick, Norm and Jenny Elverum, Josie and Katie Ligrani, and their spouses. Beloved uncle of twenty-two nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Lenore Fulbright (Elverum), his father Russell Smith Fulbright, aunt Olga Bertina Hendrickson, uncles Norman and Conrad Elverum, and cousin James Akins. Memorial Services for Keith will be held on November 21, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 9970 California City Blvd., California City, CA. After the services we will gather in the church to share memories. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Support Center, Inc., 7172 Regional Street, #278, Dublin, CA 94568-2324 or to the American Cancer Society.
