Please accept my condolences, for Kevin was a great friend and will surely be missed by many. I had the privilege of working with him at Pacific Bell for over 23 years. He was always a take charge kind of guy. I remember on 911, we were working well past midnight at the Marriott Hotel on Century Blvd, next to LAX, installing hundreds of phone lines for the relatives and friends of the victims from that tragic day. Kevin didn't hesitate to appoint himself as the single point of contact for Pacific Bell at the hotel, resolving all the issues that would arise from such a massive project. This allowed the rest of us to work without interruptions. He was always helpful, no matter the circumstances. He allowed me to sleep on his couch so I would be able to work the required overtime during the raining seasons without having to go home, which I live 80 miles from the LAX area. This allowed us to provide excellent service for our customers on airport and the surrounding area. I'm now just about ready to retire from AT&T and was looking forward to playing golf with him and our good friend, Robin Ennis, who recently passed a few weeks ago. Sadly I'll miss him and offer my deepest condolences to the family . Sincerely Dale Smith
