Kevin and I have been close friends since our wild days at UP. We celebrated his 21st year in Vegas for the inaugural Vegoose, for which he certainly mapped out all the after-shows we were to attend and of course Widespread Panic for Halloween. We´ve remained in contact, regular long chats sharing our love of music, art, baseball, soccer, and the happenings in our lives, even as I have moved around from the Northwest to Chicagoland back to Idaho, and now I was excited to be moving closer in SoCal. He was a thoughtful and erudite conversationalist with many passions, and an empathetic ear. Kevin was always a gracious tour guide in the Bay, as many of you know. Whether it was catching shows at the Fillmore, the Independent, or Great American Music Hall, or, getting the expert member treatment strolling the magnificent halls of MOMA, or going to a rock art poster show. He also had the best food recommendations. Once we had Easter brunch at the Park Chalet while I was in The City for a conference when Easter fell on his April Fool´s birthday, feasting on the fresh catch, toasting with cocktails, and roaring with laughter. In recent years, he visited me in Idaho and orchestrated the best schedule ever for finding all of the sickest psych rock at Treefort, and he even coaxed my semi-feral kitty Fluffdread to warm up to him (Kevin was a cat whisperer). So many fond memories I am honored to have shared with my dear friend, too many to share in this brief online eulogy. I will cherish our friendship for the rest of my life. Godspeed and rest in power Kevin. Rock `n´ roll forever.

My love and condolences to the family. Kevin was so well loved here in the Bay Area. I had a chance to meet many of his sweet friends at a recent get together in his memory and was truly blown away by the extensive relationships he had with wonderful people of all stripes. One of a kind he was.
