Lailee Bakhtiar Obituary
February 5, 1929 - October 30, 2009
Lailee Bakhtiar, M.D. died peacefully after a 21 year battle with multiple sclerosis. A beloved physician specializing in internal medicine, she was dedicated to her patients for more than four decades.
Lailee was a loving mother, grandmother, and an inspiration to all. She is survived by her children, Dina Tecimer Sohaili and Timur Tecimer, siblings Jamshid, Parveen and Laleh, and 4 grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, November 6, 12:00 p.m. at Hillside Mortuary (800) 576-1994. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Nat'l MS Society 2440 S. Sepulveda Blvd, LA, CA 90025.

I was telling a friend about my wonderful physician in the mid 1980´s. Dr Bahktiar was so thoughtful, kind and a brilliant physician. When my mom broke her hip (2003?) I was visiting her at a Santa Monica convalescent center when I spotted Dr Bahtier´s name on a door. I thought she worked there but after establishing she was a patient, I asked permission to say hello to. We chatted for quite a long time and she invited me back to talk anytime. Each time I visited mom in the next few weeks, I got to see and talk with one of the most lovely of human beings. Dr. Bakhtiar lives on in the memories of all who recall her kindness.
