Dear Kay, Tom and families,
It was with sadness that I learned of your Mum's passing. Gwen was a feisty but loving woman. We met in the 1970s when our work on adult literacy brought us together.
After Gwen' retirement, we continued our friendship by being companions at the VSO concerts for many years, as well as having many lunches and other visits together. Gwen always took a lively interest in things at hand and offered consolation when needed.
I have many fond memories of Gwen. May your own good memories sustain you all at this time.

To Gwen´s family. Please accept this as a condolence card as one cannot be sent due to the postal strike.
I was part of Gwen´s community at St. Aidan´s United Church, now Broad View United. Gwen was a faithful loyal servant within this congregation. She was such a gentle voice of wisdom who recognized that change in church doctrine meant we were a living entity, evolving, learning , curious and compassionate. She asked challenging questions and had inclusive answers. She was a team player who always appreciated others.
Rest in peace. Gwen. The world will miss you.

Dear Kay and family- I knew Gwen from St. Aidan´s Church. Gwen, myself and two other women would meet for lunch as a group called Cans for Christ. We would return our cans & bottles and then donate the cash to a non-profit. Our conversations in those gatherings are very precious to me. We four solved the problems of the world. And, Gwen had the most interesting, unique, thoughtful, and sometimes hilarious, insights. She will always be in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss.
