Sheryl Shaklovitz Obituary

Sheryl Colleen "Sheri" Shaklovitz, of Santa Fe, TX, died Thursday, October 23, 2003. She was born December 28, 1957, in Louisville to Hil-ary William "Joe" Sheehan and Bess Sheehan. They moved to Pasadena, TX, when Sheri was four years old. She attended Pasadena schools and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School and San Jacinto College. She married John Shaklovitz on January 21, 1986, in Clear Lake, TX. John is the son of Dan and Eileen Shaklovitz of Frindswood, TX. Sheri and John moved to Santa Fe in 1986. Sheri was the mother of Sean Daniel Shaklovitz and Stacia LeeAnn Shaklovitz, both of Santa Fe. She was a troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of America for six years. She was employed with Texas A&M University for the past three years and had previously been employed with the Pasadena News Citizen. She was an avid horsewoman, a Native American artist, a lover of many pets and animals and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her father in 1999. She is survived by her husband, John, son, Sean, and daughter, Stacia Shaklovitz, all of Santa Fe. She leaves her mother, Bess Sheehan of Pasadena, a brother, Tim Sheehan and sister-in-law, Terry Sheehan, of Deer Park, TX, uncles, Delbert Sheehan of Louisville and Jack Sheehan of Missouri, and numerous beloved cousins. Her funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. CST Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, TX, with burial to follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
