Sad to lose my old friend! We met in 1976 at adult German class at Hollywood High. We met up a lot for drinks and dinners. I was at the start of my art mural career. My favorite memory is walking past a hair salon in London in 1978 and hearing Marian´s unmistakable laugh! I ran in to give her a kiss and said, "...let´s do dinner back in L.A. in a few weeks!" I met her hairdresser/friend Colin. I called Marian every year as I moved to San Diego and then Dallas. We lost touch. I re-engaged on her old home # in 2019 and 2020. We had hour long plus conversations about our `good ol´ days´ in Hollywood! She will be missed! I am writing about her in my upcoming autobiography, "Brushes With Hollywood."

Marian Collier was my dearest friend for 24 years. We met at LeDome on Sunset for her birthday the year that her dear husband E. Jack Newman passed away. God brought me into her life to be her friend and I'm so happy he did. I was obsessed with Marilyn Monroe and when I heard that Marian was in "SOME LIKE IT HOT" the first Marilyn film I ever saw, I knew it was fate and we became the best of friends! She even saw me perform as Marilyn on stage several times. Marian and I had many great times together at Barney's Beanery, Craig's, The Grove, and Hugo's. I have so many amazing memories of this fantastic lady. She kept me laughing and was like a mother to me for the last 10 years since my mother had passed on so young. I loved knowing Marian who I referred to as a "Living Legend". I still can't believe she's gone and I'm so very sad that she is. I will hold her memory close to my heart for eternity. She was one of a kind and I loved her so very much! Thanks for the good times Marian! See you on the other side. May God bless your soul. Have a margarita on me darling. xox. Kelly
