Murray Drazner Obituary

July 24, 1930 - December 31, 2020 Born in the Bronx in 1930, Murray Drazner lived a long, colorful and wonderful life. Murray grew up in an orphanage and served his country in the Army. He was stationed in Germany in 1950. After working in hotels and clubs in NY, he moved to Los Angeles in 1981 where he ran and co-owned the famous La Cage Aux Folles Nightclub. The club was L.A's hottest, most progressive and dynamic club for many years. It attracted huge stars and celebrities. Murray got a picture with every one of them. From Milton Berle to Al Martino to Adam Sandler. Murray had them all in a remarkable collection. He became friends with many of the actors & comedians who came in and would lunch with many of them, including Norm Crosby, in Beverly Hills almost every weekday. Murray met the love of his life, Mary Brill at the club. She came in for a show and left with a life partner of more than forty years. Murray and Mary were inseparable. Synonymous. Together they built a business, a family and a life of great joy. Murray died peacefully on New Year's Eve at the age of Ninety. He is survived by his loving family: Mary, Carolyn, Jane, Greg, Steven and eight grandchildren.
