Nancy Bartling Obituary
June 6,1931 - March 10, 2011
Nancy Beryl Storm was born in San Jose, California on June 6, 1931 to Beryl Maynard Storm and Conrad Frances Storm. She grew up in Salinas, California, where her family were lettuce growers. An accomplished horse woman, Nancy was crowned Queen of the Salinas Rodeo in 1948. Nancy attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. While at Boulder, she met Mebus Bartling. They were married June 14, 1952 in Carmel Valley. Nancy endured a tragic loss in June, 1986, when Mebus unexpectedly passed away.
Nancy is survived by her children, Beryl Johnson and her husband, Jeff, Susan Tavarez and her husband Joe, Jill Behrle and her husband Steve, Storm Bartling and Ms. TerryTropila; her sister Barbara Zeilman Trout and her husband Les; and her grand children Justin Johnson and his wife Erica and their son Jake, Jordan Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Murphy Bartling, Joey Tavarez, Conrad Tavarez, John Cole Tavarez, Mebus Emily Behrle, Avery Behrle, Otto Behrle and Henry Behrle.
