Nicholas Spinner Obituary

November 21, 1958 - June 1, 2025 Nick Spinner was born in Brooklyn and lived in Los Angeles for most of his life, until passing from complications related to cancer. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from USC.

Nick's career journey was as eclectic as it was vibrant. He began as a model-actor, building a substantial résumé of television and film appearances. Later, he found a deeper calling in the legal matrix of the healthcare industry, becoming an expert in the appeals and grievances sector.

Like his father, writer-producer Anthony Spinner, Nick was a gifted storyteller. At the time of his passing, he was working on two meaningful projects: a football-themed screenplay inspired by the book The Glory Game and a philosophical fable told through the eyes of an elder dog mentoring a puppy-an idea inspired by his first family dog, Border collie Johnny-blending his love of animals with his reflective nature.

A passionate football enthusiast-his beloved team was the Minnesota Vikings-Nick rarely missed a game, whether professional or college. The neighborhood always knew the outcome, thanks to his loud enthusiasm and total inability to remain stoic. In his youth, he excelled at punt kicking and tried out for the USC Trojans football team.

Ferociously intelligent, Nick's interests spanned music, science, and philosophy-passions rooted in his youth. His expansive vocabulary was a trademark, worn like a suit of armor, and his quick wit was as distinctive as his presence. Influenced by his mother, Jacqueline, who instilled in him a deep love of American history, Nick cherished exploring her extensive book collection and was thrilled to see history come to life during a visit to the Jefferson Memorial last year with his wife, Michele.

An avid photographer, he enjoyed capturing moments at the horse stables, where his mother and sister, Alexandra rode and jumped. His profound love for animals also led him to become a vegetarian in his early twenties-a commitment he upheld.

Some people simply break the mold-Nick was one of them.

He is survived and deeply missed by his wife, Michele; his sister, Alex; and his stepdaughters, Jamie and Maddy.
