Pasquale Pipolo Obituary

October 13, 1931 - March 2, 2018 Pasquale (Pat) Pipolo passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2018 after a long illness. He is survived by Ro, his wife of 63 years, daughter Trissa, sons Jay and Frank and daughters-in-law Anna and Nancy. Pat's lasting legacy can be measured through the lives of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren who miss their "Bubba", and his nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends who loved him. He is also greatly missed by his faithful furry friend, Angel. Pat was born on October 13, 1931 to Antoinette and Carmine Pipolo and was raised in East Harlem, Manhattan, New York. His parents, brother Frank and sisters Camille and Micheline have since passed. Pat met his future wife, Ro, shortly before enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Pat proudly served his country for 2 years, got married and began his family during this time. Pat's love of music began at an early age which he parlayed into a long and illustrious career in the music industry, working for many successful record labels such as VeeJay, Liberty, Uni, Decca, Kapp, MCA, United Artists, Casablanca and Island, to name a few. Pat's sales and promotion skills were instrumental in the early careers of The Beatles, Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, Sonny & Cher, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Olivia Newton-John, Rick Nelson, Oakridge Boys, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Electric Light Orchestra, Helen Reddy, Bob Marley and many more. Pat retired from the music industry in the late 80s and opened a restaurant called "Pip's Place" in Thousand Oaks. He and Ro ran the popular sports bar and steakhouse for 6 years before deciding to permanently retire. Pat also worked for many years as a host at his brother/niece's restaurant "Latigo Kid". He retired from hosting in late 2016 as his health began to decline. Pat's family will be hosting his Celebration of Life on June 24, 2018. I would like to say that I just looked up Pat and found out he had passed .. I knew Pat when he was the owner of Pips Place .. I loved that place and I became good friends with Pat or I should say he was everyone’s friend. Later in the years I ran into him when he was helping his brother at his restaurant in Agoura .. it saddens me to see he has passed. God bless u Pat and my prayers go out to the family and friends ..
